Antidepressant effect on possible afib episode?

Hi guys.

Long story short, I've been prescribed Coaxil (tianeptine) . It's an antidepressant for my anxiety. But I was given this as an option to try together with standard therapy.

So I'm currently trying to find out if this medicine could have some effect on making my afib rise its head again.

I am currently afib free for 15 months and had an ablation one year ago. I do have some skipped beats and short tachycardias from time to time.

Any expirience with tianeptine anybody?

Thanks.

Sorry no experience of that drug but I would only take it as a last resort. My anxiety/cortisol levels have been too high for too long fortunately no serious results to date. I manage it by a handful of lifestyle changes; you will know best what works for you as an individual. I use enjoyable volunteer work, 70's music on vinyl, prayer, magnesium lotion with melatonin at night and daily walks on a Nature trail.

Best wishes, hopes something there works for you.
