Treated for CLAP OAVRT and ablated x2 within this last 2 years. Still suffering tachycardia and same symptoms as before ablations cardiology feel it’s IST. This is happening a different times of the day lasting 40mins each time and bearing down can sometimes stop it but then it restarts. I tried ivabradine for IST over the last 3 months but hasn’t helped much

confused about my tachycardia

Have similar and found that daily Diltiazem seems to prevent it. Worth a try, speak to your doctor.

Thank you for this information. I’m hoping to meet with my cardiologist at the end of the month. I have already tried bisoprolol, atenolol, a few other lols, flecainide, and verapamil which didn’t help and awful side effects. It’s just awful dealing with the daily palpitations, feeling faint, skipped beats, tachy, chest discomfort. Let’s hope this helps. Thanks again
Would you explain what the acronym CLAP OAVRT means please? I think there will be very few members who have any idea, including me.
Apologies I was diagnosed as having concealed (the arrhythmia I have doesn’t show on ecg) left lateral accessory pathway which was found to be orthodromically (only retrogradely conducting - from ventricle to atria. ) atrioventricular ventricular re entry tachycardia - one medic said ohhh you have WPW I said my cardiologist has never said that or diagnosed that but did say to me in my EP study this was something I was born with that has begun to be a problem now. But this he said in January 2025 has definitely been ablated as I had a EP study in December 2024 under GA this time that was negative and did not set off this daily tachycardia I get they have since summarised I have ectopic beats and Inappropriate sinus tachycardia although I feel the same as I did before my first ablation I hope that makes sense
