Not Afib related - Just a mona(er)

Hello HUC.

Isn't the forum becoming colourful these days? Many members have changed their aviators from the standard ones allocated by HU.

It's starting to look like the Victoria and Albert Museum every time I look at posts. We'll all be winning the Turner prize at this rate!

There's 25 grand for the winner so well worth it. I might change my aviator to one of the Mona Liza. I could be quids in. In fact, I think I will!

Hi Baba.

Yes I agree. So I should too considering the cost for having the cosmetic surgery to change me into the Mona Liza.

Still all is not lost. I’ve put myself for sale on an eBay auction. Bidding ATM has reached £11 plus postage and packaging.

I’ve got this one.

😂😂😂. Hi Paul,

Mischievous as ever.

Not sure about the Mona Lisa for your personality, but it’s better than “The Scream” by Edvard Munch.

Thanks for keeping us cheerful. We all need a sense of humour, so that we don’t go mad with morbidity. I think a smile is sometimes just as beneficial as a pill. Keep up the smiles. 😁

Chris.

Hi Chris.

The painting is about love, anxiety, and death. I can tick the first two off but I will try to avoid the last one. For now anyway😉

Good idea!

I used to have a copy of the Mona Lisa hanging up. It was quite a large print, but oh so dreary, albeit a beautiful piece of art. I would have thought you are more like “Sunflowers” by Vincent Van Gogh. 🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻🌻

Have a nice evening.

Hi Chris.

I’m not sure if I would like a picture of the Mona Lisa hanging up. She would give me a side-eye look all the time.

Vannie’s pic would brighten up the room more.

Have a great evening too.

Yes, her eyes followed me everywhere. Creepy. 👁️👁️👁️👁️. I kept it because of the antique frame more than the actual picture.

I liked your old one Paul where you looked like the phantom of the opera .Maybe I should update mine as a few yesrs have passed since that one

Paulbounce profile image
Paulbounce in reply tofairgo45

Hi Fair.

Hmmm, Phantom of the Opera? It sounds like me. I'm always lurking about in the shadows of the forum.

If you update your picture you’ll never know if my aviator is smiling or judging it.

Enjoy your weekend.

It's an avatar. In your case it looks black with a bit of blue in the centre. The blue may be there or it might be an optical illusion. In my case it's a picture of me taken when I was younger. ( An aviator is someone who flies, like a pilot or flight engineer)

Nor do I Alicant? It's sort of surreal and looks good.

I'd change my aviators but they're too expensive. 😎

By the way you'll never win the Turner Prize with a portrait or indeed anything that resembles 'art'. What you need is something like a pile of barbed wire with a blancmange on top.

Come back Tracey Ullman~all is forgiven😉

It's the banner (the image strip behind your icon on your Bio page) that I find difficult to manage effectively to match my icon.

Especially with my recent new icon. What do you think? Will I be attracting or repelling passing cowgirls? 🤔

The rules tell us that we should be kind to all users and not pick out their spelling, and so I am reticent to do so. I suspect it's not Paulbounce 's spelling at fault but a typographical error which has been automatically corrected by a PC, electronic tablet or mobile phone.

An aviator is someone who flies, like a pilot or flight engineer.

An Avatar, in this case, is a drawing or picture denoting a person on this internet discussion board, or of players of computer games, etc. Mine is a photograph of me, some years ago.

Well spotted Thomas. You are quite correct~I'm ready for take off🤣

I see you have done so already and the painting is of the Mona Lisa with an “s” and is in the Louvre in Paris, where I saw it (and her eyes seemed to follow me around the room) many years ago -not exactly suitable for a bloke which I presume you are!

I louvre Paris Vonnegut. Been there a few times and well worth a visit. The outskirts are pretty grotty though!

Please can you post. in some form of understandable English. Your post seems complete gibberish to me.

Paulbounce profile image
Paulbounce in reply to2learn

Hi 2learn.

Sorry about that. Please let me simplfy it for you. Here's a rewrite that is easier to understand:

I love Paris Vonnegut (Vonnegut is the username). I have been to Paris a couple of times and enjoyed my visits. The outskirts are not very nice. The outskirts of a city refer to the areas located on the outer edge or fringes of the city, often characterized by less dense development compared to the city center. These areas may include residential neighborhoods, industrial zones, or undeveloped land, and they tend to be quieter, with fewer commercial activities or amenities than central urban areas. The outskirts can also serve as a transition between the city and rural or suburban regions.

Rgds is an abbrevation of regards. Google defines it as:

An abbreviation is a shortened form of a written word or phrase. Abbreviations may be used to save space and time, to avoid repetition of long words and phrases, or simply to conform to conventional usage.

So my post finishes with Regards.

My user name is Paulbounce. Because Vonnegut mentioned the Mona Lisa, I signed off with Rgds LizaBounce instead of my usual Rgds Paulbounce.

I hope this makes it not so 'gibberish' and easier to understand for you.

Have a lovely day 2learn.

Regards Paulbounce

So what has this to do with AF. Shouldn't social poststo cliques go on social media sites.

Paulbounce profile image
Paulbounce in reply to2learn

It hasn’t got anything to do with AF nor is it meant to. Sometimes a little humour goes down well and helps to release stress. That’s good for afibbers. I also post very serious replies and try to help forum members. I take time out of my day to do this and I am not paid to do so.

I suggest you don’t bother to read my posts anymore - just scroll on by. The other thing you can do is report me to admin for posting information not related to AFib.

I’m done with this. I have better things to do. If you reply I won’t bother to answer. If you have any other issues then take it to DM (in fact don't bother ~ I'll just click the don't want to interact with this member option). I don’t think other forum members want to read it all. In all my time on the forum, you are only the 2nd person I have responded to in this manner

OK

Just back from Tasmania. What a delightful place.

Yes, both Art - I visited MONA it was 1km from my stay place. Very sexy - why do they need an imaginative sexy mond to recognise this pewcular piece.

But tHE WALL at Derwent Bridge was so entertaining. Imaging from wood. That's real creative. I was allowed to take the insects which line the entryroad into this exhibition.

I guess I could use an insect sculptured from wood.

But how do we do it? Paul.
