I’d be wary of the clove tea as it contains eugenol which strictly speaking shouldn’t be mixed with anticoagulants and can interact with some meds - you need to ask specialist advice on these types of questions and I’m no expert so don’t just take the view of anyone on this forum - check it out with Nutritionist or Pharmacist.

My personal view is that most substances taken as food or infusion very occasionally in limited quantities shouldn’t have enough anctive ingredient to have much of a risk, but supplements present a much bigger danger. Pumpkin seeds excellent and I eat teaspoon everyday (don’t take Bisoprolol), papaya seeds - never tried them.

I have read somewhere that papaya seeds were used to procure abortions in folk use. If that's really the case then they DO have some very toxic properties though I have swallowed more than my fair share of the seeds when eating the fruit. But then, as a male I have never been pregnant! :)

That’s an interesting point. Can’t be good for you then.

I eat pepitas without negative reactions. I think one of my teas contains cloves, and again, I have no negative effects. When in doubt, I check with my pharmacist, who is always right.
