Has anyone found that apixiban makes them feel very tired? Since taking it I have experienced a decided lack of energy. Though it might be this ghastly weather!!

I suggest everyone responds differently to most drugs. I have taken Apixaban for a few years with no problems other than an occasional red blemish on my hand or arm.I am now on a reduced over eighties dose and so far all seems well.

Thank you. I too have the occasional red patch. I am glad you are having no problems

Apixiban not noted for fatigue symptoms. Check with your doctor about your other medications if symptoms persist.

Is the red mark you get with Apixaban like a bruise? I have a strange ‘bruise’ on my wrist and no idea why?

I’ve just been changed to Apixaban from Rivaroxaban. Rivaroxaban made me very tired, no energy and depressed. So far I feel so much better on Apixaban. Maybe one of your other meds causing your tiredness. Hope you feel better soon. Take care.

I discussed fatigue with my cardiologist. They consider it isn’t the medication. It’s probably the symptoms of the AF itself. I recently had a cardioversion that put me back into normal sinus rhythm for a full week during that week. I had no fatigue at all so it would seem the cardiologist was right. but as mentioned above check the side-effects of any other medication you may be taking as they could be interacting as well.

i'm on apixaban and nothin else and i am decidedly tired by the end of the day, more so than I used to be...but not nearly as tired as when I had AF ;-) have been increasing exercising slowly to increase fitness and this is helping a bit I think (fast walking) and thinking of doing some sessions with moderate weights. Also taking iron/vit C tablets as supplement.

I have not suffered fatigue from apixaban but did from beta blockers. I am also finding this weather depressing.
