afib after almost 2 years?

I’ve had three years episodes of AFib total back in 2022 and 2023. I had an ablation in April 2023, almost 2 years ago. I take no medication since six weeks after the ablation to control heart rate. Doctor said no restrictions whatsoever. Last night I did my usual sauna, an infrared sauna and probably stayed in longer than normal maybe 45 minutes. after I took a shower, I felt a little bit off (racing heart and anxious) and checked my heart rate, and I was in afib! Then Kardia said, I had some tachycardia. I took some fleccainde and a metapropol that I had saved when I was using those medications as a PIP in 2022 and it resolved. I’m very disappointed this morning because I guess I deluded myself that I would never get fib again after my ablation was so successful and I’ve had no issues regarding exercise or lifestyle and have not been taking medication. That said I still take Eliquis in case. I honestly do not want to take a daily medication for my heart. discouraged

May well have been the heat that caused it - I had the same issue with hot tubs triggering af - you may well be fine if you give the heat a miss -
