Yesterday I had my first AF occurance for many months - which was quite frightening ( I take Propranolol, Flecainide& Apixaban) my AF has been under control with these medications. However my Apixaban has recently been reduced from 5 mg to 2.5 mg due to my weight loss. I was pre diabetic and followed a programme and was able to loose 2 stones in weight. Wondering if this reduction of medication has affected my AF. Also for the past 2 weeks I have had less exercise due to preparing for Art exhibition ! Any advice or comment would be well received - thank you.

Apixaban is an anti-coagulant, I can't see it would have any effect on Afib, it's to prevent clots.

Agree with Espeegee. Apixaban will not affect your AF but weight loss may well reduce burden.
I believe a discipline of a half hour brisk walk, ideally in a rural area, EVERY morning has helped me on the AF and many other wellbeing fronts.
What were you doing JUST BEFORE the Afib? Also, what is your gut feeling as to why it occurred?
