The body is a fantastic machine, which we have forgotten to listen to, preferring to be told 'what's best for us' by medics. If I was you I would miss that jab next time.
The Pharmacist administering vaccines recommended speaking with my PCP prior to RSV because of AFib. Must be, or have been, some question of causation / correlation.
Had my RSV vaccine last month, no reaction, had fl vac. two weeks later and only got a sore arm for about 24 hours, then had Covid last week and thankfully - for the first time had no reaction with the Moderna vaccine although the previous two I had bad reactions (never had any reaction to any of Pfizer vaccinations)
You have lived all your life being exposed to RSV every winter with no vaccinations. Would you get vaccinated against a cold and cough? Because that's what it is . The new vaccine that has been developed for this common infection might be necessary for very young children who have not developed natural immunity and can be very ill but it's value to adults is debatable.
Have you checked out your vit D level? Having a good level of vit D protects against all respiratory viruses and is a lot safer than vaccinations which actually depress the immune system for about a fortnight after the jab and make it more likely that you will catch something .
Thanks for the advice. Not had Vitamin D level checked but I do take Vitamin D 3* (50micrograms) every day and my calcium check is always normal on my 6 month doac test.
