Post ablation four months ago and cardioversion two weeks ago, was feeling pretty positive. Popped into town with OH to do some shopping, modest walk back to car park with not very heavy bags. Then stopped at retail park for quick look in store, got inside door and suddenly felt very faint, had to go back to car and straight home (OH driving). Checked blood glucose, a bit low for that time of day, looks like was close to a hypo in town earlier but had stopped for a decaf and cinnamon bun which had pushed glucose up. Checked BP, very low for me 98/60, HR 48, did two readings, very similar but second one showed irregular heartbeat symbol, but no other AF symptoms. Had a late lunch and rested rest of day. Checked BP again before dinner, 145/70, too high of course. So the questions start. Was it a result of allowing blood glucose to drop gave me a heart wobble? Or was it a minor AF breakthrough, par for the course during ablation recovery? And why is BP off course? This morning before breakfast 1 took two readings 124/71 and 149/75, HR 50, no IRH. Should I be talking to GP and/or arrythmia nurse?

An odd high BP reading is not of concern as this can result from all sorts of reasons includng stress. Sounds like a hypo event to me so keep and eye on hydration etc. and accept that you will have these events from time to time.
