lifting waneylap fence panel with AF
I press on as normal when I have my AF but the rate can go high so I take care in case of any light headedness. Anxiety easily raises its head!
That will be the measure of it - the way you feel. It really depends also on your heart rate and how the AF affects your blood pressure and things like balance and feeling faint. Each of us will likely cope differently.
Steve
my AF is well controlled heart rate and blood pressure exellant whe i exercise only goes to about 130 and comes down quickly when finished exercising however had a real scare few month ago went to AE with asthma they put a nebuliser on that in a few moment sent my heart rate to 220 ended up in ressus luckily I was in hospital at the time but I know how fast your heart can go to a dangerous level know never to use a nebuliser at least but that's my main concern
I don't let AF stopp me doing anything am very active just concerned about effect of lifting a heavy weight on heart rate don't want you to think I'm a wimp😀
Have lifted weights for 40 years, but now i need to be careful with it triggering af, i can still lift ,but if i carry that weight afib will kick in.
Wait and get some help. You are not a wimp - that is in your mind not others! Bless you. Why put unnecessary strain on your heart? You will be anxious because you are already worried and that will increase HR. Lifting is detrimental to the heart so look after yourself.
