I once went 10 seconds with Mike Tyson. When I came round, I was in AF 250/min. They had to give me a large slug of Procainamide.

Trauma however minor can provoke AF. It’s a cortisol thing.

Makes perfect sense knowing myself.

I tried to put off dental work until after my ablation blanking period to avoid sparking return of AF, but that plan went in the bin when a tooth snapped at the gum and another one started giving me gip from infection. So had a filling and a root extraction, and made sure it was non adrenaline jab. Thankfully no issue arose with AF, big issue with not stopping rivaroxaban day before, the socket bled copiously and continuously, ended up in A&E overnight. All sorted now, but sometimes you just can't know how things will play out, and neither can the medics. Do whatever you can to minimise anxiety levels, it'll work out.

With myself, it’s always the stress of dental work that is the trigger. Our minds work overtime and are filled with dread (well for most of us). Not exactly a relaxing day out is it? 😫🦷. Hope it’s soon just a memory.

Got to go threw it again next week, doing the other side, oh well

Oh no, poor you. It’s got to be done though so soon be over. Let’s hope it’s not so bad next time. Lightening doesn’t strike in the same place twice lol. Take care.

Thankyou, know what to expect this time, reality wasn't as bad as the anxiety.

That's always the case in my experience so try doing some yoga breathing to relax yourself when anxious.

Are you having the old dental work replaced with implants ?

Replaced old bridges and crowns with new ones, implants far too expensive, the whole top teeth are being replaced.

Implants really are the answer - I had the old crown and bridgework in my upper jaw replaced with implants to support the new bridgework. That was 15 years ago and it has been perfect ever since.
