Had an ablation on Tuesday and noticed that my resting heart rate is now in the 80's and 90's instead of my normal heart rate in the 70's. I read where that is a s;ymptom to be expected and will go back to normal after awhile. Has anyone experienced this? So far, I have felt no a fibs, for which I am thankful.

Higher temporary heart rate after ablation?????
Most certainly and is entirely to be expected. I had ablation about 4 weeks ago and my heart rate has not returned to my normal 60/70s. It hovers in the 80s.
I had the same and my EP / Cardiologist told me that it was a good sign.
Yes, 70 to 80 resting HR post ablation for me for months. Can't remember when exactly it settled down because I ignored it but it was in excess of 3 months as I can remember mentioning it on my follow up appointment where I was told that was 'normal' after an ablation.
Very normal response; mine went from around 50 to mid 70's after my first ablation, then back into 60's after my second ablation. Providing it's below around 90/100 bpm I was told it's your heart rhythm (not rate) that is much more important.
short answer : yes
I’ve read that it can be a good sign for a positive outcome, and can take a year or so for some to settle down and maybe never as low as before. Personally I hope mine does not drop back in to bradycardia (under 60) as I feel better with the higher resting HR.
Best wishes

Yes, my HR took about 6-9 months to return to pre-ablation levels. Everyone is different though so length of time will vary from person to person.
this is all reassuring to read - my resting hr is hovering around 80/90 ish, with the occasional 60/70 ish. Pre ablation was 58-68. My biggest concern is that my blood pressure has also been up since the ablation, especially first thing in the morning - anyone else noticed this?
