I have had this Kardia Mobile for four years and until the last couple of days the readings have been good. I now get large black waves which are unreadable. I have followed the instructions re: troubleshooting and I am not receiving a battery replacement message. December and February I have had 7 days monitoring of my blood pressure and there has been no problem with these measurements. Any advice please?

Contact Kardia support for advice. It could just be that the Kardia device itself has finally got a fault .
Otherwise, have you got a new phone or are you taking it in a room with a new electrical device in it that could be causing interference even if you aren't that close to it.
Thank you for your reply. I usually use the same conditions whilst using the Kardia and nothing has changed. I will change the battery and if that’s not the problem I will take your advice and contact Kardia. Thank you again.
I found an issue like that early on , I changed the battery, but it turned out that I had to resynch to my phone, another update from a different app had caused some sort of issue so my phone and Kardia weren't connecting properly and caused strange readings. Are you also sure you haven't changed how much pressure you are putting on the unit when you press on it, that can cause a problem.
Part of the troubleshooting involved downloading a new Kardia app, but sadly no success. I will certainly check my finger technique and see if that is the problem. Thank you.
Again, interesting that I have experienced a similar problem with my Kardia, which is 8 years old. I just put it down to the Kardia getting old and that I may have damaged it carrying around the world with me. Could it be an Apple IOS upgrade?
I will follow up with Kardia and try the troubleshooting suggestions.
My guess is that it’s your Kardia battery which is low on power.
I had a similar problem- after the Kardia worked well for about a year it suddenly seemed to always suffer from electrical interference.
The Kardia battery indicator on the iPhone Kardia app showed a nearly full charge but after a huge amount of hassle (trying it in different rooms in my house etc) I tried many different ways to solve the problem I changed the battery it started to work properly again.
The additional problem I had is that for reasons best known to Kardia they use very small screws to secure the battery cover - despite having quite a comprehensive toolkit I had to buy a special small screwdriver to take out the screws.
I had excactly the same thing. Black waves, no battery replacement messages same as you , so I decided to changed the battery and the Kardia went back to normal waves.
Good luck with that Phyllis ,I’ve had my Kardia for 5 yrs , I was nearly going to throw it away, then decided to replace battery and wow it worked again.
