Revitative machine with AF

Morning all this is my second post following a new diagnosis of AF last week. I've already found this forum helpful so thank you all for sharing your experiences. I wondered if anyone has used or uses the reitative leg machine with AF? I bought this machine used it three times and the ended up in hospital with this diagnosis. It may be totally unrelated I know but it does make you wonder? The hospital said that they didn't think this would have caused AF and the advise is that AF is not a contra indication and the machine is safe to use. What are your thoughts??

This is interesting. I've had mainly persistent episodes of AF for over 30 years.

I looked into buying the Revitative machine about 4 years ago and decided it would be safe to use after discussion with cardiac nurse. I used it a number of times and really felt a benefit. However it most certainly caused a racing heartbeat..tachycardia....which is normally a prelude for me to flip into AF. I reluctantly had to stop using this.

Fortunately I was able to get a full refund from Boots when I explained the situation.

You may wish to do a search (using the search bar) on this forum for previous posts on Revitive as I'm sure I have read on here and other sources that is is not advisable to use it if you have heart issues.

Ive had PAF since 2019, I’ve a REVITIVE machine and used it, not started mine off, but everyone is different. I think mine was usually triggered by stress. Every body is different. I’d use the freezing cold plunge pools as my spa without being triggered.

I had an ablation towards end of February and obviously still recuperating, op went well.

I looked into buying one a couple of years ago. I went through some of the small print on the advert and hidden away was not suitable for people with AF. You certanly had to search hard for this info so did not buy.
