hi everyone who responded to my post about stopping apixoban after mulling through all your much appreciated advice I have decided to go ahead and stop my apixban and then if they find anything they can go ahead and remove anything like polyps then I won't need to go back for another one have told hospital and they will let me know when to stop thanks everyone for helping me come to a desision

As long as your doctor(s) are on board, I think that's a great choice. Colonoscopy -- especially the prep -- is not the most fun thing in the world and this way you will only have to do it once. Good luck.

Just had a colonoscopy in April. Gastroentologist coordinated with Cardiologist and I stopped Apixaban 2 days prior to surgery and resumed day of surgery.

No issues, no bleeding after removal of 2 polyps. You will be fine.
