Waiting times........

A Clinical Physiology visit yielded the new that my Pacemaker check showed that the battery level dictated a replacement. Aware of the national discussions about waiting times I naturally asked the obvious question and was reassured with "2-3 weeks". !!

Huge sigh of relief..... now ten days on and awaiting news......

Similar happened to me. I was admitted thru A&E with very bad AF. Consultant told me that there was nothing more they could do for me ans I wasn’t responding to medication other than fit a Pacemaker. I readily agreed to this and asked how long was the waiting list, expecting to be discharged, only to be told the weren’t going to discharge me and that I would have it a soon as a slot was available. I was transferred to another hospital and had it fitted the following week.
