I have just realised that I have been taking 2 x 200mg of Flecanide for the last week, instead of 2 x 150mg. I have been feeling as if I was going to pass out several times recently. I have now realised that the 100mg (new packages), look like the 50mg hence the mistake. Should I be concerned , feeling OK now.
Oops, anyone else overdose and did you feel similar?

That must have been a shock for you. I once took 200mg at once by mistake but noticed almost immediatel.
I'm glad you feel OK now but as 300mg is normally considered to be the maximum daily dose, I would be inclined to get checked out with your doctor. The good thing is that you noticed the mistake and only took the extra dose for a week.
Hi Paddbear. 400mg a day is far to high IMO unless your medic suggests this. For sure I would contact your doctor tomorrow. Flec is a strong drug and not to messed with - it's very important to follow your doctors advice on the correct dose to take.
I think the half life of Flecanide (time taken for drug concentration in body to reduce by 50%) is 17 hours. So you should be down to normal levels by now. I think if you feel ok now you should be fine.
Allowed dosage can be as high as 400mg daily but only for life-threatening venture alar arrhythmias.
As other posters state, 300mg/day is usually max dosage for AF. That said, one needs to bear in mind body/size/mass. 300mg would be too much for a 55kg female, but perhaps not so big of a deal for a 110kg 2m tall male with no co-morbities.
