Have searched re BP monitors. Am thinking of replacing our Omron m2 basic which is rather long in the tooth.Would prefer something straightforward but accurate.
Any recommendations? Link to an app not an essential. Present incumbent has mains adaptor. If no optionfor this how long do batteries last??
Thanks in anticipation.

I have the OmronM3 Comfort and have found this excellent to use with a snap around cuff. It's battery operated but I couldn't give you much of an idea how long they last! Suffice to say long enough not to be a problem.
Same experience M3 Comfort, confirmed calibration with GP surgery and they accept my readings, records for 2 people saved in the memory. Large 360 cuff is great.
I wouldn't rush to buy an expensive combined ECG & BP monitors. I get sent these for review and find they seem to me to be less useful than the separate items. The Omron Evolv is probably the easiest of all to us and is superbly made, with an excellent app. It's the one I have used the longest. It's as compact as an upper arm monitor can be and so very easy to put the cuff on your upper arm.
The Omron and Braun wrist BP machines are the equal in accuracy and even easier to use but it does depend on the shape of your wrist, I have found. Also, as with all, three readings are often needed to get one that is accurate. White coat syndrome happens at home as well as in the surgery!
Actually, there is little to be gained by changing from your old one so, I was thinking, a wrist one might be worth a go!
