Hi there, glad to have you here.
morning and welcome
Thank you,
They wanted me to have a PM when my heart started going queer. That was about 15 years ago. I decided against it & just on anticoags now.
Wow great, but do you still have your afib and get many attacks?
All the best
Pat
What do you mean by attacks? I don't dizzy but sometimes experience racing heart at night usually associated with weird dreams, . they are scary. I deal with these by breathing exercises .
Well I call them attacks when I felt ill with the afib/tachycardia spells. Light headed as if going to faint, heart jerking and running so fast, weak legs want to sit down and hot it eased a bit after an ablation but all came back a few months afterwards admittedly not quite so bad but there all the same
Having said all that during the summer my heart started going into bradycardia and although I could still feel some thumps I was so faint and was taken into hospital 26th august. Then on 5th September it was decided not to send me to Harefield hospital for a left sided ablation (apparently the particular procedure was 6 hours long under GA and risky)
So it was decided to have a pacemaker. Goodness what an amazing difference. Within a couple of days I felt so much better and long may it last 🤞🤞🤞
I know a pacemaker is only to stop the heart from beating too low and doesn’t control the fast heart rate, but I haven’t felt anything snd it's a regular 60bpm. Just once in earlier days it must have argued with tachy but only went up to 72 and after a few seconds to a minute was back to normal
I’m sorry for the long post
Stay well
Pat x
