Wolf MiniMaze

I am in Texas at the current time. I had the Wolf Mini Maze on December 6th and have my follow-up appointment with Dr. Wolf tomorrow morning before flying back to my home state of MI on Wednesday. No more blood thinners needed since he used the AtrialClip on the LAA appendage. The cost of my medication was ridiculously expensive that at times I would have to purchase them out of the US.Hoping for a great report?

Thank you 😊 I'm looking forward to getting back on my feet. I've been healing from a broken knee for 5 months now.

Thank you very much 😊It was on this forum I learned about the WMM. I'm hoping for a wonderful outcome, but I need to wait and see since I'm in and out of NSR at this time.

6 week checkup with Dr. Wolf yesterday. No Afib, a few bouts with flutter lasting about 10 minutes. Having problems with nerve pain, continuing with 75mg Lyrica twice a day. Great to be off of anticoagulants! Looking forward to getting off of Sotalol in the near future.

it’s early days! The scar needs to heal and your heart is very angry and inflamed right now. Prayers it will stabilize! Keep us posted but at least you don’t have to worry about stroke! I also learned of the WMM on this site!

Dr Wolf will see to it that you are taken care of!

Angry seems to be an understatement tonight .... Sorry I know it's not funny, but my heart is definitely not happy laying here trying to sleep. Thank you for the prayers and positive thoughts. These threads have been very helpful guiding me to hopefully finding a better quality of life.

wishing you a smooth recovery to NSR, it’s still very early days and the heart takes 3-6 months for your scars to heal and NSR to maintain. Stay strong this is the hard bit.

Thank you 😊I definitely am looking for a more restful or peaceful medium nighttime. Here I I lay no more than an hour and a half after falling into light sleep to wide awake and what feels like a one leg galloping heart! Happy for all of those awake to fill my waking hours. Seems like digital solitaire is my best friend.

good luck with your recovery. When my heart was having its own little party after a hybrid mini maze I used to chant in my head happy healthy heart, as a positive affirmation. It seemed to help calm and settle, could of course just been a distraction technique but who cares if it works

As others are saying, it's early days. I had a catheter RF ablation in August and was told it was very successful yet the following day, I had a full-blown episode of AF. I assume there is still a 3-month blanking period as with other types of ablation so your heart is still settling down. Don't do what I did and do too much too soon, take it easy. Good luck and Merry Christmas

Thank you 😊 others have said the same, as well as the doctor at my checkup yesterday. I need to remember this as I think I can take on the universe right now.Merry Christmas ⛄

Congratulations!! Dr Wolf is amazing!! My husband had his WMM 8/22 and he’s doing great!!! NSR & no meds!! Prayers for your recovery & for your new lease on life!🙏🤍✨

Try and stay calm and think of the bright new future. An awful lot of people on here are extremely jealous, we would love to have the opportunity for Dr Wolfe to ‘cure’ our Afib, but such is life.

Good luck for the recovery, just post on here if you have any wobbles and the good community will jump in and give you the reassurance you need.

I had contacted Wolf team about the procedure but never heard back when I asked about the cost for someone out of the country. I read somewhere $300k.

Weren profile image

I wonder what that cost consists of? Hotel, food, lodging, hospital, etc? I know I was told $88,000 cash cost for the procedure only. Have you checked Dr. O in Japan?

Best of luck to you finding out your costs. I would not give up call and text again and again until you get the information you need. I will help if you need

Thank you very much. The past 2 weeks have pretty much much been a blur for me with pain and very little sleep. I'm hoping today is the day I round the corner and start to feel better.
