My Cardiologist has prescribed Digoxin along with the Tikosyn I am currently taking to help slow down my flutter episodes. I’m also taking Metoprolol. My concern is that I’m taking 2 anti-arrhythmic drugs. Any input about this?

Tikosyn & Digoxin taken together?
Digoxin and metroprolol both slow the heart . I believe Tikosyn is the only anti arrhythmic drug there but not available this side of the Atlantic so no experience.
While both metoprolol and digoxin have some antiarrhythmic properties, they are essentially being prescribed for rate control. Hopefully they'll all work OK together but you want to report any new side effects to your doctor, such an unusually low pulse or shortness of breath.

Thanks, Jim. My cardiologist wants me to make a diary of any side effects I might have and contact him immediately if they are out of the ordinary. Hope this works!
I have been on Tikoyin for over three years and it has been working very well for me. I had to be in the hospital for three days so to get right dose. I had been afib free for most of the time but over the last couple months I have had a few break out to afib. I would recommend tikoyin has help me.
