Having a low blood pressure can cause the symptoms you describe and that can be helped by drinking more water (yes it really can). Do you know what your blood pressure and heart rate are?
Of course AF attacks can make some people feel dizzy. There's a heart rhythm that's called POTS and dizziness on moving can be a symptom especially when standing up. I will go and find you a useful talk about it.

Yes, I do and in order to get to the bottom of it I have had my eyes tested and specs changed, had a brain scan, including the ear cannals, hearing etc.. seen practitioners specialising in dizziness, all to no avail. Take daily H/R and B/P readings but still dizzy!!!!There is a condition that people get, says the doctor, where you get 'crystals' forming in the 'tubes' and for this you do a series of regular exercises, my husband was given the info and is doing them, he says they are working. The exercises for you to look up are Brandt-Daroff a simple and non invasive way to treat Vertigo associated with Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo otherwise known as BPPV. Good luck
It's quite possible that one of your meds is the culprit. We all are different and react to medications differently. In your shoes I'd be asking to try switching my meds to a different one that does the same job or adjust dosages, one at a time, to see if the problem can be resolved.
Also, as jeanjeannie50 said, it could be that you're experiencing low BP as you say that your BP meds were increased. Do you have a BP monitor? It's a worthwhile thing to have, and they're not too expensive. That would help you track what's going on with your HR & BP.
You shouldn't have to live with this and you may need to press your doctor to help you figure out what's going on. Nowadays we really have to be our own advocates.
Good luck!
Were you prescribed Bisoprolol? I was (plus Apixaban) and my Cardio has confirmed to me these symptoms are well-known to be caused by Bisoprolol. I had only just started with AF symptoms and was truly frightened by suddenly needing to sleep 16 hours out of 24, being confused and unable to concentrate or think clearly, was dragging around the house (exercise impossible as I'd trigger the fast heartrate if I even walked a few metres!) I had never had anything like this in my life and my GP denied it was the Bisoprolol. I've spent 18 months wondering if I was about to have a coronary, a stroke, or simply die as it was all so new and strangely nobody seemed to care enough to even advise me on this - it was only a few weeks ago I changed to another Cardio and he told me these symptoms are well-known to be caused by Bisoprolol! I'd report your symptoms to your doctor as they can of course adjust your medication and make life easier. It seems to me the dose of whatever is causing this is too high.
Thanks Moongold Yes doubling up on Bisoprolol and takingEdoxaban a tablet from the same family as yours Was already on 1.25 from an heart attack 5 years ago then put it up with AF Always had a bit of dizziness from then but now over the last 3 months it got worse My doc split the dose to twice a day but nothing as got better Spend more time sitting down as that’s the only way I feel comfortable Checked out the Edoxaban and that to can make you dizzy Will be back to docs again soon Thanks shoe fairy
A 2nd or even 3rd opinion is sometimes worth the try, even though I totally sympathise regarding the effort this takes when you're experiencing these symptoms. It's a pity more specialists don't appreciate what we go through just to get to see them sometimes. Perhaps they'd lower their fees somewhat if they did! Also of course your body changes over time and your medication needs may well alter with it. Getting a truthful and reliable doctor today seems to be half the problem however. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Best wishes!
