Dr Berg usually has great youtube videos about heart arrhythmia and afib. He mentions D-Ribose as a suplement. Does anyone know about it?

I know absolutely nothing about D-Ribose, so went and found his YouTube talk:

Very interesting.

~I am a follower of Dr Eric Berg - he makes sense on so many issues. Especially so for those of us who struggle with side effects from meds.

Take a patented non-GMO ingredient Bioenergy TM Ribose (D-Ribose) & have done so off & on many years not only for my heart but also fatigue created by several auto-immune challenges - always check with your medical person first - fortunately mine sits within the Holistic paradigm ~

Great video. I discovered D-Ribose a few months ago and have used it. The dosing he suggest seems like a lot. I was doing 1gram every day, especially after working out.

Eric Berg is not a Doctor. He is a Chiropractic. He seems to give advice on just about every condition under the sun. I think that the shear number of YouTube videos he has made tell us everything. 5000 videos. I do not think that any responsible qualified medic can have such a broad range of expertise. He is probably a quack. I would avoid his videos.

If he a Chiropractor and qualified to practice that, he is NOT a ‘quack’ but extremely unwise to give information that he’s not qualified to give. Many professionals do this unwisely as they could be sued. EVEN GP’s and nurses can do this, the difference is, they are covered by the NHS AND un-sueable !

My younger brother who was autism and diagnosed with school schizophrenia asphyxiated on a whole tuba sandwich and overdosed on a medication that made him dopey!!

I would research well first. I did this a while back, can't recall why I didn't start on it, nothing major just felt on balance I shouldn't pursue in my case.

Considering how many videos this guy has posted online (5000)+ I wonder when he has any time to actually treat patients.

Thank you all for your answers. I am aware that Berg is a chiropractor, in the US he can be called a doctor. I find his videos very informative. His video about the importance of magnesium and potassium is brilliant, I wish my EP and cardiologist who kept telling me to keep the same lifestyle, would learn from him!

I agree with you. I have been watching Dr Bergs videos and believe he does his research and "real" doctors can learn something from him. I am a pharmacist with over 40 years experience and I learn things from him all the time and have taken some of his advice.

Thank you Joliet! I especially used his diet advice

That youtube video is "the root cause of cardiac arrhythmia"

Stephen T Sinatra who is a Cardiologist writes a lot about D Ribose (and other cardiac supplements). Look up his books.

I have taken a scoop of d ribose in my morning drink for many years. It is helpful in so many ways. I like it because I know it helps with energy. I have it every morning, it is part of my protocol to keep heart arrhythmia and fibromyalgia away. I used to have fibromyalgia and heart rhythm trouble and know that this is part of a regimen that works for me helping to keep everything functioning correctly. Learned about it from another online doctor of naturopathy and my local functional medicine doctor thinks it is a great thing for me to be taking. I researched it and knew it would be helpful since part of fibromyalgia is a body energy crisis.

Thank you Needlestone for sharing your positive experience with D Ribose. I am glad it is helping you! What type of heart rhythm trouble did you have?

I had daily SVT and PVC/PAC’s. I did have an ablation in 2016 for SVT that would reach 250 bpms daily and almost cause me to faint. I still had PVC/PAC’s after ablation until I went gluten free and stopped all artificial sweeteners that caused them. I only now have rhythm trouble with alcohol which I rarely drink. When all of this was bad for about 3 years I also developed fibromyalgia, I got on a good eating regimen and take quite a few supplements and everything has been fine since 2018. I will never stop certain supplements like d ribose. Afraid to go back to whatever caused the 3 years of misery I endured.

Needlestone, I went to HR 270 and cardiac arrest. I also stopped the gluten. The doctors saved my life but no word from them about the importance of potassium and magnesium. I am also doing fine thanks to this forum.
