I replied to your first post.

You are understandably getting distressed about this which will almost certainly cause his blood pressure to rise. The fact that home monitors tend not to be accurate for patients with AF doesn’t help. The numbers you are quoting are high but if you are all getting stressed over this then it might not be serious and the rates reduce when the stress levels reduce.

One thing is for sure, you need medical support NOW so speak to your surgery and if that doesn’t work, contact 111. Even consider going to your local pharmacy but get help otherwise the situation might get worse……..get proper medical help!

I've had the paramedics come to the house when blood pressure was 199-205/123 and they tried to calm me down by telling me to take deep breaths and relax and I was in afib. They asked me if I wanted to go to the emergency room which I said yes. Wouldn't you know it that on the ride to ER my affib converted and went into NSR and I felt much better as I felt relaxed and they didn't do much in the ER but monitor me and then called for a ride for me to go home. Stress is a Killer so try and have your partner not to panic and relax; "Harder said than done" I know. Good Luck
