Has anyone else had higher bp after the 3rd Phizer jab? Had mine 2 weeks ago when my bp was under control with no meds and now need meds to keep it down. Also gland in my neck which is always up if i have a problem has not gone down either. Otherwise back to normal but am more breathless when doing exercise than i was

High BP addition

Yep, me. My first two were AstraZeneca, booster was Pfizer. Felt quite ill, high BP. I put a post on here about it about 23/10 or 24/10. Click on my username and scroll through my posts. If you can't find it I'll check tonight when I finish work.John

Hi GrannyE,

This is a copy of the post I was referring to yesterday ...... hope it helps. This jab was on 23 October.

"Well I had mine yesterday morning at 10.15. Felt the jab but all went well till the early hours, about 16 hours later. Pain at top of left arm, (the injection site), was unreal and swelling at the site was also unreal. Today been sleeping for England and the bloody nightmares/ daft dreams also unreal. Mercifully, no AF or cardiac related issues except massive high BP ( for me anyway) up around 148/90 constantly all day but HR still good. Bloody well stirred up pain in tendons/ AC joint though, unreal man!! just when I was starting to get it more controlled ......fair dinkum !

Can't even concentrate on cricket 🏏🏏 on my tablet.

Still you guys and dolls, think of CD, don't put the booster off as and when you are offered it. Oh yeah, my first two were AstraZeneca, booster was Pfizer.

John"

Thanks John. Hope you get over the jab quickly. My bp was up for me still yesterday and I had the jab 2 weeks ago. Have had to go back onto bp med. Been doing the deep slow breathing, oil of lavender etc but has not been enough to control it yet. The other side effects which you have been experiencing have gone away as I am sure they will do with you. At least you know that your immune system has been working overtime and you will probably have more protection.

That's interesting, John. I had a very strange dream after the Pfizer Booster after 2 x Astra Zeneca. I can remember that I was sweating profusely and all bed clothes were wet through, but when that forced me to wake up I hadn't been sweating and my clothes were dry.I've also been very tired and had headaches.

24 hours after my booster - BP remains stable 117/78 but OH has been reporting spikes in his BP since having the booster about 2 weeks ago.

Resting HR is higher than normal but nothing worth worrying about but I have fatigue, strong muscle pains - not as strong as when I had COVID though - brain fog & exacerbation of Myasthenia symptoms- all of which I expected and was warned about so left today clear & having a douvet day.

Worth it knowing I should now have enough protection to go out, meet my family & friends - socially distanced of course!
