Cardiology Appt

Cardiology appt today: despite the state of things in the NHS recently I had an appointment today at Heartlands hospital which had taken a while (and had a private appt in the interim to get the ball rolling) - Top Consultant - seriously cannot commend her more highly for taking the time and explaining everything I needed to know - even called up and went through a video of the treatment I had a year + ago when I had a heart attack and showed me how the problem was resolved, what to look out for and if anything is concerning me again with any symptoms that might occur to contact her secretary and they’ll look to see how things have progressed since - It’s not all bad out there once you get there …just worth sharing!!

Sounds like your Consultant is a cut above the others. That's a funny summary of mine isn't it!

I saw what you did there Jean haha - yeah so bloody grateful to have the gaps filled in which we’re feeding the ole anxiety monster and extended me the big olive branch and a point to go to if things take a turn + said she would speak to the consultant lined up for my ablation to see if they can get it done sooner than later (currently @ Nov) and the weather’s picking up 😂😂

AF is usually long haul, so my suggestion would be to save up for a regular annual appointment with your favoured cardiologist. Building an old fashioned long term relationship has paid off for me over my 10yr AF journey.
