My cardiologist appt has upset me. The palpitations I’ve been having need a follow up. My bp was up a good bit so dr added another med. My pig valve sounded good but wants to do an echo on Monday next week and labs to ck new meds. It’s amazing how quick you can go from feeling on top of the world to the dumps😂. I will be first to say that I’m an extremely anxious person. I try to see the good in everything but today I’m low. I know that life as we know it is temporary but geez it doesn’t make it easier does it? God has a way of making us realize HE is in control. I know at some point my valve will have to be replaced but I hate being reminded of it every single day. Heart issues are mental!!!!!! Am I alone with this thought? You never really get past it once you know you have it. I’ve had a real good old fashioned cry ( yea this positive person) and I feel better. I never cry! I hope all of you are good today and please know I think of you all. Will keep posting on condition. I know most of you are in the UK which fascinates me. A very long way from me but I know it’s beautiful there. Keep on beating❤️

Aw kharrell, I’m so sorry to hear how you’re feeling. You are most certainly not alone in feeling like that. It’s not at all surprising after a medical appointment, with the prospect of more tests. TBH, my appointments always bring me down. My poor husband gets the tissues ready in advance!!
But you’re doing great. And you have a family who love you and spend time with you, and a faith that gives you hope, and medical practitioners who are more experienced at looking after heart problems than any time in history. Your wonderful positivity is not misplaced
Maybe you could do something treaty to be kind to yourself after this knock back? My choice would be putting my feet up and enjoying a decaf latte and a whodunnit 😊
You’re right, the UK is beautiful... Greetings from a currently very snowy landscape! ☃️
Take care xxx
It sounds like they are giving you a good MOT and you are in good careful hands. Aw ra best as they say in Scotland.
Where do you live aim in Australia ,sounds like you are being well looked after oh by the way aim origanaly from uk
There is a long list of ladies on FB with your name ! Have no idea who to contact.... Perhaps try the other way round and look me up ? ( Lolita Jones)
Was your BP high just on the visit to hospital or do you self monitor at home?
Both my GP and EP are only interested in an average taken over a week at home.
I guess I have "white coat" syndrome because my BP is through the roof whenever a professional takes it
Hi just that morning at dr visit.
it might be worth investing an a bp machine for home use. I have one that can also detect an irregular heartbeat

You can find much cheaper ones, but I have found this one to be invaluable , used with a BP app on my phone you can keep a good check on things and can show any healthcare professionals what is happening over time, not just a snapshot when you are already stressed
and in answer to the rest of your question, no, you never get over it when you have a heart condition. I'm really depressed right now as my flutter is back, so back on the NOACs and double the bisoprolol. Feeling tired, anxious and generally peed off
