started on Flecainide today

I hope it’s going to help my breathless issue as per the cardio doctors view as he believes the AF is behind it all

Off course we are all different and I am female. I found flecainide very helpful at first, as a PiP and later taken regularly night and morning but since I was given some from a different manufacturer I have had episodes back again as they don’t work as the original ones did! Good luck with yours!

thank you

I am on 50mg morning and night

Looking at them being a life changer I guess like we all do with new medicine

I just want to wake up know ing that it’s not going to be a breathless day

Best of success to you with the flecainide! I started on it about 18 months ago and it's been a huge help. My own approach is to try to keep the dose small as possible, and towards night as that's when I almost always got Afib.

thank you I’m glad it’s helped you

I feel a bit less breathless today now my 3rd day in although I don’t know if it works that quick or I am having a good day

Fingers crossed for you!I started on the same dose. I also take 1.25 Bisoprolol which cardiologist recommended to work with the Flecainide.

My experience was that Flecainide took a while to get me back into rhythm, but is fantastic at helping me stay in rhythm. I'm down 95% time in Afib, but still watch all triggers, etc.

Once you get back into rhythm (which might need a higher dose depending on your age / size) I think there's a really good chance you'll find Flecainide helps you stay in NSR much more of the time. 😊

I took Flecainide for several years and was only taken off it after an ablation. I found it very reliable, and I hope you will too.

If Afib is behind your breathlessness, Flecainide is very effective at maintaining Sinus rhythm. I’ve been on it for a few years and it has definitely helped. Good luck.
