You had over 50 replies last time telling you how wrong your thinking is so why still saying it was a mistake.?

because heart rate in fifties at times.mot so bad, pauses 3 to 4 seconds..only one 6 sec.almost passed out.ep said dangerous, reg cardio said his mother would have had one. after ep said pauses not so concerning.before told i was gambling..thats why..confused so made decision made on lots of family history,,stokes, heart attacks etc. done now have to live with it

Quilter, forgive me for struggling to understand your posts, but are you saying that since you had a pacemaker fitted, you have been experiencing pauses in your heart rhythm and runs of your pulse rate being in the 50s?

Or were these the symptoms you had before it was fitted?

Before..read report 4 to 5 secs

Nothing wrong with heart rate in 50's unless it's in 50's when youa re running 100metres I suppose. Pacemakers are wonderful things and a lot of my relatives have one and have never looked back since. You could be so much worse off without having it.

It' s in so can't look back. If I hadn't been so psychologically anxious about the decision I should have gone for more opinions...Suppose I best view it now as a protection..a safety belt as someone wrote. Still does not cure the fast beats so that's another story.

If you had pauses then a pacemaker is the best option because it stops you having pauses. If a pause goes on long enough it's not a pause, it's a stop!

I had pauses. Pacemaker fitted. No more pauses. Also, because the pacemaker is monitored, having it meant they knew my heart rate was regularly over 200 without me knowing. Without the pacemaker I would've been in trouble. I love having it. You should love yours.

It's iin now .. Not sure of fast rate..With one printout saw one over 200 but others lower.some over 120.thats another story.
