I’m new on here also.
I have a very low (25) HRV. Am told 50 or above is healthy!!
Could it be affected by the the tablets I’m taking for Afib?
Any info would be helpful
Thanks
David

I'm assuming that by HRV you mean heart rate variability rather than heart rate. HRV if you are into club level cardio - been there, done that - is good, but a heart rate of 25 may be a different matter. If you have a resting heart rate of 25 and you are not on medication, you are a serious cardio athlete. If you are on medication such as a beta blocker, a heart rate that low may cause issues of being steady on your feet, possibility of passing out if you get up quickly from a chair, and lessened perfusion of your organs. It would be a good idea to speak to your GP / the person who prescribed the medication.
Hi
Thanks for the response and yes, I’m referring to Heart Rate Variability
My understanding was that little variability meant that your heart had not recovered from a hard run / cycle / spin class, and you should rest more before returning to exercise. That said, the detection was very sensitive and upset by an irregular heart rate. I used to log myHRV every day except when AF caused errors. It gave some odd readings one day that I hadn't seen before, and about 36 hours leater I had a stroke. I'm not sure if that's any help to you.
