Basically three ectopic (out of place ) beats together. Ectopic beats are annoying but benign so tend to agree with your GP. Try slow deep breathing if they become regular. Use diapragm not shoulders and slow to less than six breaths per minute.
Hi, it’s never great news that your hearts not beating totally normally …. I was certainly disappointed to find I’d got AF, but it very common and my quick search indicates your particular arrhythmia isn’t a big deal. Guess the 2nd opinion would be private? My NHS treatment has been ace and I’d not want to pressure this strained system unnecessarily. 24 hour monitor results (coupled with your own research)seem, to me, to be reasonable input to draw the conclusion they have.
Guess what I’d do personally (well, if I was being rational:)) is find quality information about it, look at what might be causing or possibly increasing it and avoid them , and see if I need to make lifestyle changes. My AF has spurred me onto losing a few Kilos (10 kilos off makes a lot of difference to my ease of living) and I now exercise more (I love my new exercise bike… makes the boring interesting by taking me all around the world! ) , There’s always positives to be had! Importantly, though, I think , is don’t overdo change… all things in moderation:)!
I have had a long period where I could feel bigeminy and occasional trigeminy quite regularly after eating. It's gone away (mainly) now. Having mentioned this to the AF nurse a couple of times, she has always it dismissed it as 'not of concern'. Everyone has singular or groups of irregularities in their heart beats, apparently, but remain totally unaware of it. I wouldn't worry.
The trouble with us AFers is that we are all too aware of what our heart is doing! 😀
Bigeminy is when two beats come close together followed by a longer gap, then another two beats and another long gap etc. In trigeminy the beats come in groups of three, all too close together, and then an even longer gap before the next group of three etc. It can be quite uncomfortable, and blood pressure tends to drop. It confuses the hell out of a Fitbit, which reports very low rates, then jumps around. The Kardia reports "Unclassified". Perhaps the 6L one could be more definitive.
no way! I know i shouldnt focus on fitbit readings but it has to a rough guide?! Exactly what you’ve said my HR shows quite low when its fluttering about. I might invest in kardia.
I do have a cuff BP monitor which has also picked up low HR readings (but not low bp)
