Would somebody please recommend a new mobile phone which is compatible with a Kardia 6 lead monitor, as the Kardia device compatibility list only supports older models, and I need to purchase a new phone.

Thanks Bob,

My last phone although a new model, was not compatible with the Kardia monitor. They seem to have difficulty adapting to updates according to a salesperson in one of the phone shops. I was advised to buy a second hand old fashioned phone which I am reluctant to do. So am putting out a request to our AFib community for some feedback on new models that will be compatible the device, the one lead or 6 lead Kardia monitor.

If your old kardia is the one lead version, that is the reason it doesn't work with a newer phone. The old Kardia used high frequency sound to communicate to the phone via the microphone, which gets filtered out as 'noise' on most modern phones now. The 6L Kardia uses Bluetooth and should work with the vast majority of Android or iOS phones, but might not with Nokia, Microsoft or any other OS, as there is no Kardia app written for those.

There is a list buried deep on the Kardia website which I found after discovering my Moto9 doesn't work! I've kept my Moto7 purely for Kardia.. Raised a query with Kardia and got a fairly terse reply basically saying 'tough'! Poor customer service..

My Kardia 6 lead works fine with my new iPhone 14. The interface seems to have improved a bit and it's easier to email a pdf.

I have a iPhone 12 s plus and my Kardia 6 lead works fine .. It worked on my previous phone too..

I think it’s more compatible with an iPhone than Samsung..

Hope you get it worked out.. All the best

I have a Samsung 22 ultra and Kardia works fine with it, I upgraded phone recently from S10 and no problems with changeover.

When I bought my phone last year it was not on Kardia's list. I have a 6L Kardia. My phone is a Android Motorola Moto g100. No problems taking a Kardia reading or emailing to ....... anybody.

Good to hear you are getting satisfactory Kardia readings although your phones in some cases are not on the compatibility list!Have purchased a reconditioned Samsung S20+ which is on the approved list, and hope the Kardia 6 lead will work well once it arrives.

Was reluctant to go for a newer model. Am happy with my choice. Thanks for your help everybody. Very interesting technical advice Momist!

Hopefully our thread was helpful for others also.
