so had 2nd follow up today after my AF cryoablation 5 months ago. Looks like I’ll be going down route of another ablation but this time for PVCs which have become a nuisance over last few months. Tried meds which aren’t working. Just waiting on 12 lead holter monitor so he can pinpoint where it’s coming from to help with ablation if I decide that’s how I want to proceed. In meantime he told me to focus on my mental health which could be exacerbating it further.
Anyone had 2nd ablation for PVCs after AF and anyone know what recovery of that is compared to AF ablation? On positive note, he believes AF may be dormant 🥳

Had 3rd ablation recently for PACs (first 2 specifically for afib) and after discussing with EP I am of the understanding that the general recovery from the catheter groin insertion is the exactly the same as for afib abalation. Heart recovery through will be dependent on other heart conditions and also on how many sites required burning/ freezing and where sites were located (will of course be varied for different people).
Definitely err on the side of caution during your recovery period. Hope it goes smoothly and is extremely successful.
Good luck with this, I’m speaking to my ep on the 5th of October to see what I do next about my pvcs, can I please ask did your ep suggest ablation and where are you having it done.
he put me back on bisoprolol and Flecainide to see if they settle while I wait for 12 lead holter on 11 Oct to see where they are coming from. He suggested it if I can’t tolerate them any longer. I’m apprehensive about another ablation so I’m still not sure if this is right for me or whether I hope meds settle them. It would be in Edinburgh anyway. Good luck with yours if that’s what you, keep in touch.
