Bless you, glad it's all over. You will soon pick up - just give it a few hours and you'll be feeing so much better. When are you expecting to go home?

Great news. Now listen to uncle Bob and other wise owls and take it easy. Had mine about 8 days ago and did nothing for 7 days except potter round house and make easy meals. This morning I have changed a bed and planted a few small pereniels and now I am bushed 😝 More rest I think. No dodgy rhythms yet though 🤞

That all sounds positive Kenny. Glad it’s behind you and hopefully you’re back home by now. Wishing you a speedy recovery!

Glad to hear it mate!

Just a sore groin for a week or two. Take it easy. I didn’t even push anything significant for a good week, not even a lawnmower and tried not to bend over

I've got a sore chest too - especially when I try to take a deep breath. Perfectly normal I'm told. It feels like when I went ski touring on the glacier in the Southern Bavarian alps years ago!

Forgot about that. Very dry throat too, because of tubing down my throat. Had to have water when eating some biscuits. Lifted my spirits when I saw my faves bourbon creams sitting on the table next to me. Yep I had that too, went after a day or so, gradually went from an elephants weight down to an ant. Lol was thinking the same I experienced near the summit of a high alpine mountain that I cycled up!

Done that too my friend in France

Guess you won’t be swinging from the chandeliers for a while 😂 Hopefully the Mrs understands 🙂

The ‘pants’ I had to change into when I arrived….no expense spared lol. Looked like netting off a joint of gammon 😂😂

It soon passes , I'm 17 days post ablation and my bruise is almost gone and my throat is back to normal .I'm just starting gentle walks and managing little jobs around the house to keep off the sofa.

I had an episode of AF on Thursday that lasted 90 minutes which was mild but I know this can happen and was reassured by the arrythmia team on the day.

As everyone has said, take it slow and don't stress if you have some wobbles during the next few months.

Best of luck 👍

I have woken up today in super mild AFib but not concerned as I think there are a few to come before calmer waters are sailed

You said surgeon did your ablation so it was done with a surgical incision? Mine was done by a cardiologist (EP) with a catheter in the groin up to the heart. I've not heard of a surgical ablation. Can you explain a bit more? Take it easy and best wishes for a good recovery.

No - it's was done in exactly the same way as yours - I didn't know there was a distinction and my groin certainly doesn't feel the difference this morning
