just wondering about thoughts of others, with regard to hydration, bottled mineral water or tap water, as, please correct me if I am wrong, but is the sodium content of mineral water something to be concerned about?

Hi sugaredalmonds, I tend to drink tap water as don’t like paying for bottled water. Sparkling water is a no no for me as I’m not a fizzy fan. Keep drinking water, it’s good for you. I will add we have a filter tap for drinking water because we use a water softener.
I'd use filtered. Get yourself one of those jugs and a set of filters. You're supposed to change them every 3 months I think. That's what I drink anyway. Tap water otherwise. I avoid mineral water as a rule.
Tap water is ideal for thirst. Water bottles are polluting our land like little else has ever done in the history of mankind. They are rarely recycled, despite what the labels tell us.
Water in plastic bottles will extract the chemicals that make the bottles rigid. That is why bottled water has an expiry date. The level of these chemicals is getting close to unacceptable levels by expiry date. If you buy bottled water have it in a glass bottle.
Tap water for sure. Our artesian well is 300’ down, and so clear we don’t use a filter. It is ice cold from the tap all year round. If you are on town water, they have a pretty robust filtering system, but if you feel the need to have your own filter, only install it after you have tested your water. It may be different where you live, but here in “the colonies” we can have our water tested for a small fee. It tests for contamination and particulates, and they give you a full report. If we were the unscrupulous types, we could bottle and sell our well water as “ Acadian pure spring” water” or “Angels tears” or some such nonsense, as everyone who has a glass says the same thing…”omg so much better than store bought” , so no, most people don’t need to buy water. Remember, drink before you are thirsty 🙂
