See your doctor if you are worried. Paradax should reduce the chances of DVT.

GP is a must. Its highly unlikely to be a DVT if you are taking anti coagulants but it could be phlebitis or similar which I know from experience is very painful.

I’ll be going to go tomorrow. I do have MS and fibromyalgia so I never really know what’s going on. Thank you so much for your info. It put me at ease.

Oh honey yes that explains why you question. I was supposed to have back surgery and then a fib came along and every time I’m scheduled for the surgery it’s time to have another procedure it seemed. I wasn’t sure what to blame when I was in pain walking before my procedure. If you’ve had a procedure just remember because I forgot, it takes months to heal so sometimes a fib will pop out because everything is not healed yet. For the last month I am finally feeling almost human. It’s been three months for me it can take up to a year I’ve been told before fully healed. I am off everything but blood thinner.

I am so glad you are going to get checked out

Don’t minimize it. Had a family member with a similar opening narrative and it didn’t go well. Seek medical advice.

If that was me I would suspect its a statin causing muscle pain.

But even if you are taking statins see your Dr.

Thank you so much. Hadn’t thought of that.

I was getting moderate / stabbing pain deep in the hamstring muscle and very minor pain in the calves. Was taking paracetamol ( Tylenol in USA ) daily to cope but eventually stopped taking statins and the pain disappeared within a week.

Feeling of a severe calf strain can be a DVT. Don't rely on your GP as mine at the time dismissed it saying 'rest' first and then on my second visit 'exercise' it. I referred myself to a specialist instead who diagnosed it straightaway. It was deal with very late and caused more unnescesary issues as a result.

I do have a cardiologist but trying to get an appt. seems to be impossible. They do have a video appt. end of Aug. Told the nurse I might be …. by that time (jk)

I had very bad leg pain for the first two months after my last procedure. It was to the point I could not walk but shuffle. I had every test you can think of which showed nothing to be concerned about. They believe it was because of my circulation having been messed up for so long. You would think it would be the opposite but when I get up in the morning my pulse rate is into a fib but by late afternoon I am well below. My oxygen level is still a little bit low. Talk to your doctor better to have them check you out than take a chance. Clots do not give much warning. My mom had them in her arms and legs and the only thing she could say was her little finger hurt and her calves felt hard. Next thing we knew she was in the hospital thankfully she survived at least for a little while. Her clots were from cancer. I want to believe the being on blood thinners lowers our risk but talk to your doctor.

Oww! Sorry to hear that! I would suggest you look into taking a Nattokinase 400FU capsule once a day or every other day since you are on a prescription thinner. nattokinase has been clinically proven to prevent and more importantly DISSOLVE blood clots by NIH and others around the world.

I have not been on blood prescription blood thinners for years (Since 2015), taking Nattokinase as my primary and Vitamine "E", Turmeric, and CoQ10 as secondaries.
