To Ab or not to Ab

Question for those who were Afib free while on an antiarrhythmic and had an ablation. How many of you were able to stop the antiarrhythmic? I've been NSR for over a year on a low 200mg dose of Amiodarone (none of the numerous other drugs we tried worked) and the doctor has left it up to me whether I want to have an ablation or wait a year or so. Thanks for reading. Mike

People will be fed up with me saying the same thing on this forum, but a few members here have had their thyroid damaged by taking Amiodarone. I'm one of them and detest that drug! I'll now have to take tablets for the rest of my life to rectify the problem .

After my third ablation in 2008 I stopped all drugs apart from anticoagulation which I never intend to stop.
