Re: the severe bruise that I sustained to my calf two weeks ago has a haematoma under it and I'm a little concerned about flying to Spain in two days time. The GP and the nurse at the hospital in discussion with haematology seem to think I shall be ok but my anxiety about is getting the better of me at the moment. Has anyone experienced flying with a haematoma whilst on anticoagulants?

I would take the advice of the medics but make sure your travel insurance is in order.
Good Morning . I had a huge hematoma on my thigh in May.
It’s taken about 6 weeks for it to go away.
I had to fly also. Said it was ok. So I did.
Flew 6 flights in two weeks. Maybe not my smartest move. But I did it. Uncomfortable at times however. As long as there is no blood clot, I guess its a personal choice .
Safe travels. Hi
Exactly the way I felt.
