Good Evening everyone, well had ECG done, all done by blue tooth. Pulse went up to 112 this morning. Then went down through the morning. ECG showed that it had levelled out. Saw Doctor, had a real good chat. I’m still in AF. I have a very irratic heartbeat but wasn’t too worried. He said my blood thinners are going to be changed apparently it is a general thing. I asked if I could take 200mg of flecanide at the same time, and he said he couldn’t see a problem and that it might just give my heart a kick to go back to normal. Been told to rest and to take a step back if it happens again. He said 1 in 20 of people my age have got AF which is a lot of people. He said that I am doing everything right food wise, don’t smoke, don’t drink alcohol, I don’t do coffee, no salt, no red meat no butter. So he thinks and I do it is anxiety, stress and pain. So everyone armchair for me for a few days with just a stroll round the park with my dogs. Thanks to everyone who has helped me through this bout of AF. Xx

MY AF
Glad you accept what is what. Sometimes we have to chill!
Anxiety & stress. I had this with borderline depression in the first couple of years from AF first diagnosis. One thing recognising it another reducing it! I threw everything at it including the following: reduced work hours & personal stress, improved my diet substantially (re gut brain connection), daily country walks focussed on Nature, took up a new hobby, avoided late night TV crime dramas & instead spent an hour in the evening on Mindfullness, light exercise and prayer. I think they all helped some more than others but the bottom line is it has gone. Best wishes.
I like the sound of your doctor and, indeed, of your warm and equable nature! I wish I could be more like that at times.

I don’t get angry very often but when I do people know about it. My daughter says I have a way of dealing with things without losing my temper. But always get across to people. I will help anybody out even a stranger. My Doctor is very good. I can talk to him and ask loads of questions about AF and he never fobs you off he is very sincere.
Sounds like you have great GP 🤩 The stats were interesting because I didn’t know that and it goes a way to explaining why GPs don’t take AF very seriously if they accept it just goes with old age. Also my cardiologist told me my leaky mitral valve was common in our age group so maybe there is a correlation. Anyway, enjoy the guilt free relaxation 💝
Yes,I’ve been told I’m being changed from rivaroxoban to edoxoban, but doc is waiting for results of CTCA scan first, if there is any structural change they will leave me on Rivaroxoban!
