Me again,

I am thinking of going private, considering Dr Gupta, York Cardiology. But he is miles away from me, past Manchester.

Can anyone recommend some closer Essex/London way?

Thank you

Basildon Cardio Thorasic centre has a good reputation. For London, Royal Brompton, St Georges or Barts all have AF centres.

Dr James Rosengarten is an excellent Consultant Electrophysiologist / Cardiologist who sees private patients. He is based in Kent and at St Bart’s, London.

I used to see Dr Rosengarten many years ago on the NHS. I got on very well with him.

Then he moved to Kent.

I would personally visit a recommendation closest to you. A one-off consultation is unlikely to yield the best decision compared to several annual (or other period) visits to develop a fuller individual case history. I live further away from York than you but because of his excellent on-line videos I consulted Dr Gupta on a visit to York. I think I was expecting too much and came away with too little; my fault.
