Well I'm back. It's been a long haul after the procedure. But the past few days are not so good. Having more flips again and it is scaring me. Is this normal so far out?

Like kalgs, nine months on from my cryo ablation i still get ectopics and short runs of fast beats, but was told the ablation was successful and given a PIP. I have occasional af when going down with a virus but nothing more. I'm not sure if it's working or not but others here have said it can take up to a year to get over the procedure so try not to worry, and best wishes.

Up to a year. ! I don't think so. If you're not happy call the EP nurse or the ep's secretary. Phil

Try not to get to anxious. Anxiety is our enemy. Take it slow. We all heal differently.

I had mine 6 years ago and still get ectopics, palpitations and occasionally what is probably slow af if I’m not sleeping well or drink too much. For me the key thing is that I’ve never had fast af since the procedure so I think it was successful and made a massive difference to my quality of life.

I did follow up with my consultant and he said everyone gets palpitations and a bit of af with a hangover is totally normal. So, there is no perfect solution (probably), if your main af episodes have disappeared but your still getting a few bumps along the way that’s probably how is going to be and I wouldn’t worry.
