Ablation concerns.

Evening all.I am on a list for my first ablation.I have slipped into sinus rythmn a few times recently after a year of persistant a fib.I did a kardia readout and it said sinus rhythm with supraventricula beats. The thing is I really feel these pacs every one.Actully worse than the a fib.Would anyone know if these will be ablated along with the a fib.Ideally I should ask the ep but have only had a phone call to say I'm on his list.If I had seen him I maybe would have asked but it was him doing all the talking for most of the 10 mins.Thankyou for reading.

Ectopic beats are seldom treated as they are benign but may improve over time.

I think you will find they have less impact and gradually reduce, but my experience 18 months after a successful ablation is I still get ectopics and sometimes they are a bit bumpy, but relaxing and deep breathing really help. Im sure your ablation will be well worth the stress/ anxiety good luck! Stevev

Unfortunately however much deep breathing I do it has no effect on them and my heart feels like a misfiring engine and is horrible.

I get these sns usually feel a bit tired with them. Typically I get them first thing in the morning before I'm up and running. I've a vague memory of my arrhythmia nurse telling me they can be a kind of precursor of AF. But don't take my word for that. Slow your breathing down to 6 breath cycles a minute, that usually send them off.

Yes it's how my a fib started 18months ago.Was hoping that someone would tell me that an ablation would stop them.Thankyou for your answer tho.

My AF often starts with a burst of ectopics so although they aren’t supposed to be related I think they are in a way. My ablation report mentions that ablating one section was difficult because of ‘pesky ectopics’ (new medical term 😂) which I guess were caused by my heart being irritated. So I think the same irritation that causes ectopics causes AF as well? Some people seem to have more ectopics after ablation while others have less, luckily I am in the latter group. Best wishes for your procedure 💖🍀
