Just managed to see my GP today. Have usually had call back from a nurse over the last 2 years but today saw one. Got a prescription and they actually had the new medication in the pharmacy - what a good day today is turning out to be. I only went for a perpetually itchy patch on my thigh but it’s keeping me awake tried all sorts of creams but GP thinks it’s nerve related. I think I only got to see him because I couldn’t send photographs of a rash cos there isn’t one just my sagging, ageing thigh and a 6 year old tiny dot tattooed for prostrate radiotherapy - I don’t think they believed me and I did say I would send a photo of said thigh but I think they would rather see a rash than my ageing, naked thigh - can’t say I blame them 🤣 Hope these tablets work.

The GP’s are not extinct but are alive and in the surgery - !
😂 🥴(mind boggles!) Yes, my GP is alive too! Maybe the snippy comment about ‘not being able to remember what my GP looks like’ got back. My GP offered me a face to face when she phoned me about my husband’s medication, wasn’t happy with my BP and asked for a week’s record (mostly sky high) but heard no more until today when the surgery sent a letter to arrange an appointment to discuss my BP!
Hello there just read your message .I had similar with an itch on my upper arm, used to drive me mad in the evening .
Think it was also nerve related not sure but anyway I found putting something cold on itch seemed to work.
Hope that helps.
Well, tried all that and using various creams the medication seemed to work a little although it did itch a little last night. Will see what happens this evening. The instructions say it will start working in an hour and continue to work for 24 so maybe with continued use it will build up in my system a little and work better as time goes on.
Our GP is still hiding under a rock.My wife can no longer work and asked him to fill in one page of a form for DWP but he said it would take 4 weeks as he's too busy. She must also pay privately for it.
