Can anyone relate to this?

Have been quietly congratulating myself on my AF being reasonably settled since my third pacemaker was put in last May.

However yesterday while waiting for a lift to the hospital for tests about a problem totally unrelated, my heart went berserk, tried deep breathing and not panicking, but my chest was aching with the persistent banging of my heart, I decided to try a deep cough to no avail, now starting to panic when I suddenly bent forward with force and to my relief the heart went back to normal.

Now I know this sounds a bit daft, but it worked ,a coincidence or what!.

Well bending forward with force certainly appeared to help your heart calm down. A nurse who used to live down the road from me once that that she had 'palpitations' and could stop them by bending down towards her feet. However, I know another person who dropped a cup of tea while taking it from her bedside table. She grabbed tissues and bent down to mop it up off the floor and had a severe stroke and is now in a wheelchair. What to do for the best - who knows!
