I will face my fear

My favourite extract from a book. It's helped me reduce anxiety in AFib...

"I must not fear.

Fear is the mind-killer.

Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.

I will face my fear.

I will permit it to pass over me and through me.

And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.

Where the fear has gone there will be nothing.

Only I will remain.”

Bene Gesserit – Litany against fear, Dune by Frank Herbert

Well done. Isn’t it wonderful when something like that resonates with you?

Like the bit about the inner eye. Fir me it's about sitting with the fear - anxiety in my case - that seems to help face it.
