I hadn't been in AF for a month since my new meds (5mg of bisoprolol) but today i got a positive LFT then soon after I felt a flutter. My Kardia showed 'Possible AFib' although my bpm was only 53. Later the Kardia reading said 'Bradycardia', bpm was 49. My question is - do you think the flutter was just anxiety from the positive Covid result? And also- when I've been in AF previously, my HR was always over 100.... is this normal to see a low HR with AFib? Is the Bradycardia reading nothing to worry about as it's the beta blocker that has lowered it? Thanks!

Just anxiety from the Covid test. What it does say I believe is that your anxiety levels are too high near the cusp of triggering AF. Suggest you start taking action to reduce it on any front (incl those things on your sub-conscious) as well as possible other lifestyle contributors to triggering AF. Good luck and hope the Covid is just a mild version.
Any infection always starts my heart a flutter but then so does sustained stress as both will cause inflammation in the body which may trigger your heart.
Hopefully you will have a mild dose. As to the lower heart rate, some people do experience AF with low heart rate and it is very probable that the beta blockers have lowered it. I would tend to go by symptoms as much as monitoring so if you have episodes of dizziness or feeling faint then do call your GP.
Get well soon.
I was told by a cardiologist that Bradycardia is nothing to worry about provided it's not accompanied by dizziness, loss of balance etc. as I am on Sotalol (a beta-blocker). It's certainly possible to have slowish AF; I have had AF in the 70's for example.
