Just a little moan, yesterday had a 2 hour episode after being 7 months free of AF episodes, was gutted as not even any entropic beats, was weaning myself off flecainide as advised by my cardiologist and got down to one 50mg twice a day, now going back onto 4 a day then will try again after new year, mentally it was great not to worry when the next episode will happen now it’s become a worry again, so disappointed

AF episode after Ablation
Sorry you are so disappointed. Could be just a blip? Had you had any vaccines or infections recently? That’s the only time I ever get AF - or when I stress a lot.
Was this your 1st ablation? Talk to your doctor about a touchy up. Many of us have had more than 1 ablation.
Worry is NOT a friend of AF so address your worry thoughts - maybe look at CBT? It’s really important to address your mental well being if you live with AF because it is a chronic condition which can return at any time.
The AF journey is often a long and twisty path with no guarantees for any of us so accepting and learning to live with this can be difficult.
Keep the hope that it was just a blip.
Hi, thank you for replying, yes, I had my 2 covid jabs some months ago and life is pretty good so far, I have taken on 2 am volunteering shop jobs twice a week and gym 3 times a week for 2 hours, hubby thinks I’m over doing it and reducing the flecainide could be the catalyst (hopefully) so I’m dropping one shop temporarily and cutting down the gym by one session. Yes, it was my first ablation which if you see my posts at the time was not completed, so far eith going back on full medication things have calmed down
Hi, Maybe the heart was just trying to reset itself due to the fact your weaning off the flecanaide. I am in the same boat, i have weaned off the flec and now I am weaning down to 1.5 bisoprolol from 2.5 and I am having bouts of tachy and ectopics, keep trying and perhaps a blip due to the weaning.
