Hi, I have had a good run of 14 months post-ablation for PAF, now I am starting to have frequent bouts of tachycardia and PACS, my EP has told me to take 2.5mg nebivolol and 150mg flecainide when necessary, (he is not aware of recent frequency) as these are becoming more frequent I am wondering if I would do better on a daily maintenance dose of both drugs, prior to my ablation I was on 2.5mg nebivolol and 150mg flecainide twice daily, I am waiting on a call back from my GP but as always I fall back on the forum when I am feeling anxious, I would appreciate your feedback please, with best wishes to you all....Johannah.

I’m really sorry Jo-hannah but not being medically trained, most of us here are unable to advise on medication. If we did, it could have serious consequences so I think you should discuss with your Doctor………
That said, I believe there comes a point when a maintenance dose becomes more appropriate as frequency increases…….

Thank you so much FlapJack, I am thinking maintenance dose also, will let you know what GP says....
Hi Jo-hannah, This may not be much help, but I have never had an ablation. I do wear a pacemaker. I take 100mg of Flecainide twice per day. I had not had AFIB in 9 month, but I did yesterday. The cardiology nurse said to take 50mg extra of Flecainide to resolve the AFIB. I did and it worked. Just for that one time. Hope you find the right medicine for yourself.
Thank you Rubyray, that is helpful advice.
