Morning all, I know this has probably been asked a million times but how long should I be looking at to realistically getting back to work. I have my ablation on Friday and then working from home next week and the following week I am on holiday, so 2 weeks and then I’m due back full time, long days and a bit stressful. At the moment my company have been letting me work 2 days a week from home, should I be continuing this for a bit longer after the ablation? It worries me as reading other peoples experiences it seems that they are still struggling for weeks afterwards with tiredness etc and I want to give myself the best chance of recovery
Thanks

Try reading this:- heartrhythmalliance.org/res.... You are supposd to do nothing the first week and not much more the second and then ease back slowly so please don't rush and wast all the EP's hard work.
The doctors at the hospital signed me off work for one week and said I wouldn't need any more than that. I was fortunate that I work from home, so signing back in to work wasn't so tiring. I told my boss I would do a phased return and cut down my hours for the next week.
It's been 4 months since my ablation and I haven't had any complications. I get the odd episode of ectopic beats on days when I've pushed myself, but fingers crossed, my life is pretty much back to normal.
