Hi Rachel as a fellow ectopic sufferer beta blockers did not really make much difference but slow breathing exercise and also aerobic exercise did help
Thank you for replying. I am currently awake because they are waking me up during sleep.. I have never experienced them before where they wake me from sleep..
This has only ever been since having the pfizer vaccine
You should not have had it so soon after having covid. Here in France you have to wait at least four months for them to vaccinate you after having covid. Even 5 months after recovering from covid my sister was very ill after her first AZ jab. If you don't take a magnesium supplement you could try one as it can help with ectopics.
Here in the UK you can have the vaccine 28 days after a positive covid test. How come it is different rules? That's quite odd..I am considering trying magnesium. What is the best mg dosage?
It is a nonsense to give the vaccine so soon after having covid. It is quite clear now from the data coming out of the first to vaccinate countries that natural immunity from having been infected is far superior to that produced by the vaccines and lasts longer too. Here it is considered dangerous to give it so soon after infection and likely to result in a worse reaction. Also only one dose is given of the 2 jab vaccines as that is considered here enough to boost the natural immunity engendered by the infection. If you take too much magnesium it will often result in loose bowels. I take 300mg of magnesium taurate a day in 3 doses of 100mg with meals. The recommended daily dose for women is 350mg.
Beta blockers may help with anxiety, but are not, to the best of my knowledge prescribed for ectopics. I am not, of course, medically trained.
I had quite a lot of ectopics after taking the AZ vaccine and was told by Bart's cardiac nurses that this was a commonly reported side-effect. They said that the ectopics should eventually subside, and they have. I would say that an ECG or 24 hr monitor would be of limited value in detecting ectopics- they are only a "snapshot". If you haven't had an echocardiogram since 2015
then you probably need another. The 130 bpm on waking could be due to a number of different causes and needs investigation.
Thank you for replying. How long after the vaccine did you have them? And how long did they take to subside? I had pfizer vaccine on the 1st September...
I had 2 ecgs yesterday and I had blood work done to check my enzymes and they all come back normal.
I didn't have ectopics during the ecgs.. which is a pain..
Can your heart structure change within 5 years of an echocardiagram?
This is the main reason why I am waiting on a cardiologist... I could be waiting months.. it is making me feel miserable and taking over my life in general.
